Prosecco D.O.C. Extra Dry
Prosecco and its production found testimony already at the end of the XVI century, when an English gentlemen called Fynes Moryson, passionate about traveling, wrote about the wine “Pucinum”, a nectar loved by the ancient Romans and produced with Glera grapes.
There has been the necessity, at a certain point, to distinguish the wine produced in that area from the neighboring ones, so they decided to call it Prosecco as the Tower of Prosecco erected in front of the Gulf of Trieste, because in that area were cultivated the Glera grapes.
Other testimonies of the wine Prosecco have been found in the book “Il Roccolo Dirirambo”, wrote by the poet Aureliano Acante of Vicenza, which highlighted the superiority of this wine compared to the other ones.
The Prosecco, characterized by a long tradition, has been brought to the present days and represents nowadays the “bubbles” par excellence, suitable for all occasions, which can satisfy the taste of all ages
